Italian Avant-garde post black metal band Párodos released a single Space Omega from their upcoming album Catharsis which is released October 27th 2017 via Inverse Records.
Catharsis was recorded, mixed and mastered by Marco Mastrobuono (Hour of Penance), at Kick Recording Studio ( FLESHGOD APOCALYPSE, Shores Of Null, Hour Of Penance). Mastrobuono also plays fretless bass in “Space Omega”, “Black Cross” and “Evocazione”. Francesco Ferrini from FLESHGOD APOCALYPSE has fully arranged and composed the track 'Stasima'. Also Massimiliano Pagliuso from Novembre plays an impressive guitar solo in “Black Cross”.
The band's name, "Párodos", comes from classics, especially from Greek tragedy where the term "parodo" stands for both a side-entrance, and the first song sung by the chorus after its entrance from the side wings (parodoi). The concept behind the band's music is to introduce the listener into a journey through human tragedy, where everyone is an actor yet a spectator, and to guide one through a purification process that leads to Catharsis, which is the title of the album.
